A 100% Return for 2009...Again?

As I have stated in my first post, The Cheetum Method gave traders the opportunity to turn $1000 into $1879 or $2179 depending on whether or not gains were rolled over. The method is the driving force behind this site. This
was done in an effort to put you back in control of your money rather than having the street stick it to the monkey again. Here is some of the Cheetum Method basics in question and answer form.

So what exactly is the Cheetum method anyway?

The Cheetum Method is a 'semi-automatic' trading method that signals overall market direction through the use of price action, basic moving averages, and volume analysis.

Why semi-automatic?

Signals are given to trade with the market in either direction. Following the direction of bull and bear markets is all that is required of a trader up to a point. When gains exceed a certain threshold, stops must be set to lock in a profit. The same holds true for losses although the signal generating software stopped large losses in their tracks last year.

How does this work exactly?

Moving averages and closing prices are combined with my unique volume analysis software. This generates three signals...buy, sell, or when the two individual signals conflict...no trade. These signals will be given on this site as they happen. I have nothing to hide so you can see for yourself how successful this method really is.

This sound kind of vague. Can you give any details on just how this software works?

O.K., I do have something to hide. The proprietary nature of this method is due to the fact that many chimps spent countless hours testing and backtesting. At this time, I am responsible to keep the inner workings of this method private.

How will a trader know what to buy or sell when given a signal?

For simplicity, I am trading only the QLD and the QID. This is the best part because it limits the degree of exposure rather than trading an individual equity. Possibly, this method could be used for signalling market direction and providing the trader with better trading opportunities. Using this in conjuction with the IBD100, for instance, had yielded some incredible gains but the advantages of trading ETF's adds some security at the outset. A year and a half of data is not enough, so this next year's success will provide valuable information going forward.

I hope this question and answer session gives you a better understand of what we a trying to accomplish. I will expand further in future posts and will relay any signal that this method gives.

All My Best,

Sigmund B. Cheetum
