Here's a list for deep-pocket day traders that includes stocks that reached a 1% (or more) intra-day high at least 90% of the time over the last month. That's a track record that could be very profitable during these volatile days.
After re-checking these with my abacus and 'Captain Midnight' decoder ring, the list was whittled down to these "Fabulous 15":
Patterson UTI (PTEN)
AsiaInfo Holdings (ASIA)
Neenah Paper (NP)
Sothebys Holdings (BID)...nice symbol...i get it.
Gaylor Entertainment (GET)
Under Armour (UA)
Chesapeake Energy, (CHK)
Targacept (TRGT)...not the store with the cute ads.
Volterra Semi (VLTR)
Lululemon Athletica LULU...really testing my typing skills.
NetApp (NTAP)
Direxion Small Cap Bull 3X (TNA)...i knew we'd see a leveraged ETF here.
Coinstar (CSTR)...you know, the Redbox guys.
Mercadolibre (MELI)
Domtar (UFS)
Interestingly, these stocks range in price from $20-$60 after screening $10 to $120 dollar stocks.
Remember that the 1% increase was calculate using the open price and the intra-day high. Best to not be greedy because the percentages for a 2% gain can go down dramatically in some cases. Also, on the few days that the 1% increase is not attained, proper risk management is needed.
What am I saying?! If you have enough day trading capital to profit with a 1% daily gain, you don't need my 2 cents (sense).
