After posting a list consistent 1% gainers a few days ago, I couldn't help but ask myself what could be better than a stock that consistently gains 1% at least 90% of the time over the last month. Hmmmmmm. How about a stock that gains 2% at least 90% of the time?
This is really putting my abacus and Captain Midnight decoder ring to the test but here goes...
For the deep pocket day traders, the clear winner as of Friday was DRV which is currently trading at $6.16. This is the Direxion Daily Real Estate Bear 3x. With leverage like that, I guess some intra-day movement would be expected. To be fair, the actual % gain is more like 1.6% achieved 91% of the time over the last 22 days, and 78% of the time over the last 100 days.
Monkey like statistics...and bananas...and the freedom to round up whenever a little padding of the results is necessary.
As a reminder, this is a 2% intra-day move using the high of day and the open price.
Runners up include RBCN with a 91% and 58% record over 22 days and 100 days respectively; and PLXT with an 82% and 56% record over the same time periods.
If this post gives you a hankerin' to do a little day tradin' for the first time, do an about face and run in the other direction as far as possible. Don't make me pull out my statistics for the percentage of successful rookie day traders.
