Sweeping Out the Links

Photobucket
I had to spend some time cleaning out the tree hut. Here's some stuff that I found that may be useful...

John Hussman uses Mickey, Nicky, and Ricky to explain how money flows through the stock market. This 2006 article was in response to those who believe money moves into the market during a bull cycle and then flows out of the market during a bear cycle.

If you are an independent trader, or day trade for a living, but are uncomfortable when asked what you do, these suggestions might help. Charles Kirk of the Kirk Report, one of the busiest guys in the blogosphere, took some time out of his busy schedule to locate this post for me.

If you like the idea of trading long one stock and shorting another all in the name of market neutrality, pairs trading might be for you. Asset Correlations and this Seeking Alpha article provide some useful information.

If you need some 'reinforcements' for your upcoming recession debate, just ask John Mauldin.

That word cloud at the top of the post was generated using Wordle. I used it to analyze the word content of this site. The larger the word the more often it is used. "CMI", "time", "price", "days", "gains" sums it up. This is great for those who don't like to read and just want to cut to the chase. May also be a cure for dyslexia. Next time you have to do a presentation, just create one of these instead.

Need a World Cup update? I don't have that but...Yup, still funny.
