Hurricane Stock List 2012

It's time once again to try to capitalize on the misfortune of others and pick the stocks that will rise when disaster strikes. If you came looking for great hurricane stock picks you may want to turn around the way you came and run. My record has not been stellar. Blame karma. But onward I say; damn the torpedoes and full steam ahead. This year I have some real winners. Even if the hurricane part doesn't work out, the swell created by a rising market over the next few months will help propel these stocks upward. A rising tide lifts all boats as they say.  Some of these choices are repeat offenders since I am sure they can be found on my previous disaster stock pick lists.

Matrix Service Company, MTRX. Don't expect Keanu Reeves to save the day; we're talking heavy construction machinery here.

Campbell Soup Company, CPB. I know, an obvious choice...canned good, yada yada . I just wish they would fill that little price gap between $33.50 and $34.00 before disaster strikes.

Waste Management, WM. A little more waste might finally push this over $40.

Nucor Corp, NUE. Sheet steel, plate steel, structural steel, bar steel, fried steel, steel-kabobs, steel creole, steel gumbo. Oh wait, stupid is as stupid does, I guess.

Stericycle Inc. , SRCL. Waste Management. I'd kiss a python before I pick up any of this nasty stuff, hence, Stericycle.

Generac Holdings, GNRC. It was either them or Generators-R-Us.

Goldfield Corp. GV. Electrical transmission construction company based in Melbourne, Florida, Oh-oh, I guess it would be a little ironic if the storm was eye-ballin' Melbourne.

So who did utter the famous quote, Damn the torpedoes and full steam ahead?

If you answered Admiral David Farragut during the Battle of Mobile Bay slap a gold star on your forehead because you are correct.

Who says MonkeyThrowDart isn't an edumacashional website?
